I would rate the difficulty of this trail as a 1 on a scale of 1-5 (with 5 being most difficult). The location of the shot is a simple 75 yard walk to a small hill directly in front of the Three Sisters formation.

Directions

From Hanksville - drive on UT 24 heading north for 19.6 miles, where you will see a sign directing you to Goblin Valley State park. At this intersection, turn left onto Temple Mount Rd and drive for 5 miles. You will again see is sign directing you to Goblin Valley State park. At this intersection, turn left on Goblin Valley Rd - which will take you into the state park. Once going through the park enterence, stay on the road until you come to a T in the road. Turn left and drive .4 mile and you will see a small turnout on your left.

Park at the turnout and the shot is a simple 75 yds toward the Three Sisters formation.

The best time to shoot is at sunset. The late afternoon sun will light up the formation activate the red sandstone to help make the Three Sister stand out.

This location is found inside the Goblin Valley State Park. Day-use fees (valid until 10pm day after purchase) are $20 private vehicle.
