If you are new to Milky Way photography or a novice who wants to improve their skills, join Photographers Trail Notes for a fun and educational workshop as we explore the wonderful dark skies around Moab, UT including Arches and Canyonlands NP.
MILKY WAY AROUND MOAB
September 11-16 2026
Join Photographers Trail Notes as we photograph the Milky Way in the stunning dark skies of Arches NP and Canyonland NP. September is an ideal time to capture the Milky Way, as the Galactic Core becomes visible as soon as Astronomical Twilight ends (around 9 pm).
Hanksville Drone & Milky Way

Join Photographers Trail Notes for a Drone, Land and Milky Way Workshop. This area features some of the best drone opportunities in the American Southwest. This is also a great time to for Milky Way, as the Galactic Core becomes visible around 8:30 pm.
